Memes that define my house

I have found a few things that have been so true and very relatable to my household and the way that things happen :)

Here is a couple of examples:

Example One - The Petting Theory!

Example Two: Cuddles:

I am sure this is what Abby thinks when I want to play and cuddle:

This is actually Chloe on my bed and how she believes that cuddles happen

Example Three: Sleeping arrangements :

 Completely Abigail Mae:

Completely Chloe without the cat :)

Example Four: Laying on the laptop:

Completely Chloe

100% Abigail Mae :)

Example Five: Treat Theory:

Oh So True!

So that is the end of the theories of living with Chloe and Abigail :) Hope that either you enjoyed them or that you can relate to the dog side or the kitty side!

When All Else Fails....

I have found this to be such a great quote. Every time I feel crummy, I can just grab Abby and get a kitty hug and the whole world feels better.

I love Abigail Mae hugs :) They make my day!

See she loves me back too, in her own way of course :)
Her way is licking the side of my face and ear lol

Ice... Not Snow...

So we did not get any real snow this time, nope, we got nothing but ice. It is cold and slippery and in my terms its just nasty. So what do I do, I cuddle up in my sister's bean bag and watch a movie with her :) In the midst of it all, we did homework and enjoyed ourselves. It was nice to be able to relax and enjoy just hanging out with out any major obligations or anything else pressing to get done. Well in the midst of it all, Abigail came in and chilled on the bean bag with me. Considering we were in Chloe's room, it was rare that Abby even stepped across the threshold. So while Hannah, Abby, and I were watching a movie, Chloe was downstairs chilling on the couch.

This is a pic that is how I found her before and she was in the exact same spot tonight.

As for Abby, she looked like this:

Oh how I love the furry babies that I live with and that take up all the space in the house. Their favorite spots are always the one tiny spot that one of us useless humans wants :)

For all of you that are in my area, be safe with all the nasty ice that seems to have taken over!

SNOW!!!

So I have spent most of my morning at Duke for follow up appointments today. Well as I am sitting here in the lobby waiting for mom to come by so we can head home, it starts to snow outside. Now for those of you that are not the Durham area, we just got rid of several inches of snow last weekend. So I am not huge when it comes to snow. I actually hate snow. I think it is great and wonderful for the first say twenty-four hours and after that I am good without it. I hate roads when it is nasty weather, and I really hate when I am physically cold, which is my most least favorite thing in the world. So with all that said, my sweet Abby is just like me. She hates, actually more of terrified, of when it rains, snows, or has anything falling from the sky that can hit the window that is beside her favorite snuggle spot. So as I sit here beside a huge window that has snow hitting hit at a nice pace, I can only begin to imagine how Abby is freaking out at home. I know her well enough to know when she started to hear the snow, hissing at the window started at a nice and loud rate lol.

So last week, when the snow started, I bundled up and then wrapped Abby up in a nice thick towel and I took her outside and let the snow fall on her head. Well she did not freak out that way and would lick the snow off my hands :) So who only knows what she will think of this snow :)

Sleep, Cat, and Hair Bands.... all at 2:40 AM

flipping crap... ADD kitty is driving me crazy... I was sound asleep and homekitty jumped on my face and and started chewing on my hair band that was holding my ponytail. So I gave it to her and now she is going crazy with it and I can't fall back asleep.... what the flipping heck...

So when I can't sleep I go through random pics on google. I typed in kittens and this is what I got and I love it, so I just had to share!

This should be if you wake me up before the alarm clock goes off...

After a torture like that one you would think twice next time :)

Enjoy and hopefully your enjoying your pillows and sleep!

If Only.... Oh If Only

Kitty VS Meds Part 2

So I got fur bucket's meds from the vet and I came home and I was ready to tackle the kitty and shove this pills down her tiny little throat. I had to chase her down first and I can honestly say if my dad had not been home then there would not have been a way to make her take these pills. So it took the two of us to hold her and shove these pills down her throat. So I held her with her back to me and dad opened her mouth and with his fingers he shoved that pill down her throat. I am not talking oh just kinda shove it in there, nope, I am sure Dad's finger was about 50% down her esophagus before he pulled his finger out and the pill was most definitely down her throat. Well we survived, there was no blood draws, but there was plenty of treats that were given after for surviving :)

Kitty VS Meds

Well recently I discovered that Abby has not been feeling well.... and I was so unfortunate to find out that she has worms. What the frick... I thought we got over this hump three years ago when I first brought her home. Oh to be so lucky. I found out about this issue yesterday morning... how you may ask... I woke up to the sound of a barffing kitty. Home cat barfed all over the door way between the bedroom and the bathroom. Flipping fantastic, just what I needed, a sick furry child. I got to spend the next several moments (over an hour) cleaning up the mess and making sure it would not leave a stain on the carpet. Once it was all clean I was able to call the vet. They told me yeah there is a medication that will work for it, but oh its 2 FLIPPING PILLS! No one could make it simple and have it be a liquid that I just squirt in her mouth. So when I go and pick these pills up this afternoon I will be sure to share my displeasure with the route of which I am going to have to shove these pills down her throat and make sure I don't lose a finger in the process.... what the heck. I shall have to let you know what happens once the adventure that I really don't want to have to go on is complete.

School...

So I am currently a full time student at the local community college in the medical assisting program. I love some of the people that I have the pleasure of coming in contact with, but about halfway through the day or if it is cold out side, I just want to head home and study with a kitty balled up on my feet :) today is one of those days, but every now and then I am honored when mom or dad send me a pic of my sweet girl :)

This is by far my favorite :) sweet girl sound asleep on dad's lap in the kitchen.

Soft Kitty :)

The Big Bang Theory has become a new favorite show of mine during the past couple of months. In this awesome show, there is a song called soft kitty that Sheldon requires to be sung to him when he is sick. I have come to love this song and it makes me think of my Abby Mae. The song goes something like this:

If the link does not work, just YouTube soft kitty Big Bang theory. It's a great song and its super sweet :)

Study Time!

So I have a quiz and a test in the morning so I am doing what every college student does regardless of how old you get... last minute mini cram session :) I am busting tale and when I come back from getting a drink from downstairs I find something that looks like this:

This is an older picture but it currently looks exactly the same :) I am not sure if this means leave the books alone and play with me OR if she wants me to call it a night so I can go to bed and she can crawl in her spot on my extra pillows :) Oh well, I love her any way!

My study buddy and cuddle bug :) she loves giving me hugs and then falling asleep just like this all the time :) I love my sweet girl!

Pound FurBalls

I was recently chatting with a friend who is the process of looking for a puppy. She had found a few adorable puppies and was in the process of contacting the breeder. I sent her the information for her local animal shelter. Every animal (except for Chloe) has either been a rescue or a shelter animal. I have saved all my kitties from homes that were going to send the litter to the pound, or there was the kitty that we found at the beach. And then there was Abby who I found at a church league baseball game :) So if your going to get another pet, I challenge you to check the shelter first. If you have an animal, please have them fixed so there are not other baby animals that you may not be able to take care of.

Me and my Abigail Mae. I think I needed her as much as she needed me!

Bath Time :)

So I have come to learn that having an inside kitty comes with a certain set of extra skills. I woke up this morning and Abby stunk. She and her bright self decided to roll in the litter box. My first reaction was the simple what in the heck. So as any good parent would do I decided it was bath time. Well that was a challenge that I have face before so I was ready. I got the water going at a great temp, scooped up the kitty and stuck her under the water. Oh she was a mad as a wet hen or in this case kitty. Well once she was nice and wet, her special kitty dry skin and smelly good shampoo. So it took me a moment to get it all lathered in. Abby was not excited but she managed not to claw her way out of the bathroom. Once she was ready and soapy she was stuck back under the water and got all wet and de soaped :) now I had a nice and clean kitty. I had her nice and wrapped up in a towel and got her warmed up. I got her nice and dry and let her free into my room. Abby is still mad, but hey at least she is a clean kitty!

Hair Ties...

I am curious on something. Abby has a huge toy bin that she has constant access to and it is packed full of all of these noise making, bright colored, crinkly, and catnip filled toys. But nope... those toys are no fun, she ignores all of them and goes for my hair ties. I am the first to admit that I have plenty of them, but about only 1% of them are actually able to be used because the others have become Abby toys. So right about now I am working on homework, and next thing I know I hear a thud in the bathroom. Homekitty took the hair tie that was on the counter and made it her toy. So much for that one ;)

Found this on google and it made me think of Abby. She does not sit still long enough for a picture so this shall have to do :)

Oh sleep where art thou?

Someone forgot to share with not only my brain but also my cat that it is way too early in the morning and too late at night to be playing thunder kitty which means my room is now a pinball machine and Abby Mae is the bouncy unpredictable ball.

Timbuktu is starting to look real good right about now...

Claw Clippings... Oh Lawd!

Abby's claws have recently turned from the nubs that I keep trimmed and neat to needles attached to a jumpy kitty. I thought tonight would be a nice night to trim the claws and get them all nice and short again, I so misjudged my timing. I did what I usually do when its time for a claw trim and I sweetly picked her up and placed her on her back in my lap and I went for the first paw. I always start with the front paw because she likes to see what is going on. Well... tonight was not the night for having a claw clipping. The second (no joke) I picked her up she started swatting at me and hissing and making a big old bunch of angry faces. Once I was able to figure out a way to pin her down...which is more of an art skill) I was able to trim those needles and make them nice trimmed claws. The whole time I was trimming she was making sounds that I have never heard from her before even when Chloe (super sweet and loving family's chocolate lab and who Abby is terrified of) comes to hang out in my room. I thought home kitty was possessed. I am sitting there the whole time thinking "Whose crazy a** cat is this cause there is no way this is my furry child". But no she is mine and she is currently still pissed... She is currently under the bed hissing and growling and making mean faces. Oh well just another day living with Abby Mae :)

Right before she realized what was about to happen to her needle like claws :)

Life With Abby Mae :)

That in itself should explain what this blog is going to be filled with. Oh wait! You must be wondering who in the heck is this Abby Mae. Her full name is Abigail Mae and she is the crazy feline that I am "renting" space from :) She is my wide open wild child and a true blessing that was sent to me when I did not even know how bad I needed her.

As wild as she is and as crazy as she may drive me, we have figured out how to share the space of my room in some sort of peace. The stories that I have of the things that she has done are things that I have always wanted to share so now I have the chance! The name of the blog is inspired from one of my favorite quotes from the AristoCats when Edgar tries to send the cats away, and there are some days where I say that to Abby Mae too :)  Hope you enjoy the Abby and Rayy stories that are to come :)
